The International Exchange and Cooperation Office (Office of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Affairs) is a functional organization of Dalian Ocean University. It’s the office to implement the relevant foreign policies and regulations. Moreover, the IECO is in charge of the school-related affairs of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The IECO undertakes duties including policies planning, and foreign affairs management. Major responsibilities are: management, guidance, coordination, and serving. The IECO is composed of Office of Director, Administration Office, Office of General Affairs, and Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs.
The IECO is founded in July, 1995, emphasizing opening up, paying close attention to the international trends, positively setting up extensive relationships with the world. Up to now, in terms of academic exchange, teacher training, and student exchange program, the IECO has established friendly and cooperative relationships with 52 universities and institutions from different countries and regions.
Hundreds of foreign specialists are invited, from America, Britain, Australia, Japan, Korea, Russia, and so on, to do scientific research and teach in DOU. After being approved by the Ministry of Education in May, 1997, DOU starts to recruit overseas students. So far, DOU has cultivated more than 300 overseas students for long-term and short-term programs.
Today, IECO of DOU shall continuously explore and develop International exchange and cooperation. Meanwhile, we warmly welcome all social fellows, overseas alumni, and people of insight to join us to create opportunities, promote cooperation and seek mutual development.
